Los Amigos was one of the first Mexican restaurants in the Delaware Valley and offered a variety of Tex Mex and traditional Mexican dishes. In 1977, Los Amigos opened its doors in “Olde City” Philadelphia, and in 1978 with the demand for good Mexican food increasing, the Los Amigos gringos headed for Atlale them to focus on the extensive renovation of the 100-year-old restaurant in Atlantic City, which reopened in April, 1999.

As times change, so do tastes and today, “Mexican Food” has become very fragmentized: Classical Mexican, Regional Mexican, Contemporary Mexican, Nntic City and opened “Los Amigos, AC.” In May of 1998, the “Old City” restaurant was sold to enabew Mexican, Tex-Mex, Southwestern, Contemporary Southwestern, and Cowboy Cuisine. Consequently the term “Mexican Food” means different things to different people.

Over the years, with our customers' support, our menu has evolved and will continue to grow. Classically trained Chef Curt Taylor combines regional dishes learned while studying under cookbook author Dian Kennedy at her homes in Zitacuero, Mexico and New York City and cookbook author and restauranteur Jane Butel in Santa Fe, New Mexico. At Los Amigos, you will always find a wide variety of flavors for you to sample, incorporated into our dishes, paired with fresh seafood and prime meats as well as Tex Mex favorites.
